Our weekend

We had a wonderful and very eventful weekend! Christmas is in full swing for us, and we are loving every minute of it!

Friday night we spent the evening with friends. We celebrated our dear friend, Seth's birthday. We were not sure where we were meeting everyone, but when we arrived we realized it was a restaurant in the basement of where we got engaged! I was thrilled to be back in such a memorable and special place!

Saturday was a big day! We had our church Christmas program this weekend, and Josh had a solo. He sang Jesus is Alive by Josh Wilson. He did so great, and I could not be more proud! We had my family along with Josh's family over afterwards for dessert. It was a wonderful evening!

Thanks to my wonderful mom, here is a video of Josh singing!
Warning: He's sooooo good!

Sunday we went to church and then rested all afternoon. We were back at church Sunday night for the last performance, and it was just as wonderful as Saturday!

Hope you had a good weekend too!

Our Weekend

Our weekend was great!
We had a fun date night on Friday, complete with Thai food and a movie. Saturday, we woke up and made a delicious breakfast. We spent the morning relaxing and I made bows for our wreaths. We watched the last Tennessee game of the year (they won!!!) and then we headed to my parents for our big family Thanksgiving. It was so wonderful to spend time with family and eat more yummy food! Sunday we went to church and spent the afternoon watching football!

Back to school and work today, but I only have about 3 weeks until Christmas break! Christmas will be here before we know it! CRAZY!
Well, have a wonderful Monday, and make the most of this fresh start!

It's fall, y'all!

My favorite season is upon us! I absolutly love this weather right now, and I wouldn't mind if it stayed this way! We have been SO busy since about the end of August. Every weekend we have had something planned, and that will continue for the next few weeks. However, we absolutely love it. We love traveling, spending time with family and friends, and we love football!
In the past two weeks we have been to 3 football games!
We went to see GA Tech play with Josh's best friend, Robby, and his family. They do a big tailgate before hand and it was so fun to hang out with friends.

The next weekend we traveled up to Tennessee to watch Tennessee play Florida. This was a huge day because ESPN Gameday was there. There were SO MANY PEOPLE. We had a great time...even though Tennessee lost :( On Sunday, we went to Gatlinburg and walked around. It was so nice to be in the mountains. We rode the skylift, which I thought was really fun!

Then, this past Monday we went with my dad and sister to see the Falcons play! Josh and I were pumped for this game because Peyton Manning was in town! We were pulling for the Falcons, but we love Peyton (he played for Tennessee).
It has been a busy two weeks but we have loved every second! This weekend we are traveling to Josh's college town for his best friends wedding. He is the best man and singing in the wedding! He is kind of a big deal :) It will be a great weekend celebrating with sweet friends!

Happy Fall, y'all!

What a Weekend

We had such a great weekend!
My sisters (the bigs) and John Daniel (Amelia's bf) came down on Friday night to hang out. We were able to enjoy some pizza and listen to Jim play at a local pizza place! It was so much fun.

After dinner, the girls and I hung out at our apartment. We talked and caught up on all of our lives and then headed to sleep! It was so great to spend some quality time with my sisters.
Josh and John Daniel headed to a movie. They saw Captain America at 12:20 am! They enjoyed it, though!
Saturday was such a fun day! We started the day with some good ole' Cracker Barrel! It was so delicious. We headed to do a little shopping after that, and then we went bowling! It was a busy but fun morning and afternoon.

Saturday evening was just as fun! We met up with the rest of my family and all head to Stone Mountain for the Laser Show. It is brand new this year, and it was great! We all loved it (including the littles)! We can't wait to go back next year with Will!

Sunday we went to church and then Josh and I spent the day relaxing. We are still on our Harry Potter kick...we watched 4 Harry Potter movies yesterday! I know...nerds! It was so great though. And we may or may not have eaten these delicious things...
Yummo!

Hope y'all had a great weekend! Love you all :)

PS- Back to eating healthy and walking today!

PPS-Then the Bachelorette (love Monday nights) :)

Friday Fever

Today I have FRIDAY FEVER!

I am so ready for the weekend...time for relaxing, hanging out with family, and just doing whatever for two days. I hope you all have a great last day of the work week!
Some random things/thought for this lovely Friday...

-I forgot to share this picture from my birthday weekend. I love it! It makes me smile. Josh asked if he could jump in the pool with me on his shoulder. I think I took him totally by surprise with my response, "sure."
-Thanks to some friends, I have two new books waiting for me on my Kindle! I am so excited to have so many books to read. I still want to read The Help before the movie comes out. I have heard nothing but good things about it! I might be a dork, but I love reading!
I love this dear little friend...
- Here are some little random things I love from Pintrest!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Life Lately

My life lately...in a list!

- I love being a wife...I think I was made to be a wife and a mom. It is so much fun to come home to my husband every night, cook dinner, clean our little home, and then just relax together! We love planning stuff on our weekends, and we love walking in our local park during the week! I also love that when he needs to take something for his company picnic, I can send him to work with these...yummo!

- This past weekend was a celebration of our nephew's one year Gotcha day! Daniel has now been with his forever family for 1 year. I am so thankful to live so close to my in-laws and be apart of our nephew's lives! We hung out with them on Saturday night. We had a perfect "southern" evening. We had BBQ for dinner, and then we headed to a local Bluegrass concert in a barn. They were all little old men, and they were so good! It was definitely a new experience!
Pardon the picture...it was dark and taken with my phone.
- Sunday was Daniel's Gotcha day so we celebrated that evening by eating his favorite foods! He wanted hotdogs and PBJ's! Ha! It was so fun to all be together for his special day. We ended the night by eating some delicious watermelon. William really loved it, and Daniel had a little I think. He really loved his hotdog and PBJ!
- I am really looking forward to this weekend! We are going to the Braves game on Friday night. We haven't been to one all season, so we are really excited to go. We are hoping it won't be too hot. They also do an awesome fireworks show on Friday nights!
Saturday we are going to see the new Harry Potter. I am not a big fan but Josh is! I don't really get into stuff like that, but I love being with my husband so I will right by his side. Saturday evening we have a wedding to go to. It is our last wedding of the summer! I love being able to know how excited the bride is! It makes me so happy, and I love reliving our special day.

-I am so ready for fall to be here! I am trying not to wish my life away...but doesn't cool weather, football, and pumpkin-spice lattes sound DIVINE??? I can't wait!

-Josh and I have decided to travel to NYC in December! We are so excited and can't wait to be there to see all of the beautiful Christmas decorations. What a great way to get in the holiday spirit! I have been to NYC one time, but I was on a church trip and wasn't able to really explore the city! We can't wait to explore together! I have already started a list of things we have to do!
I'm sure there's more to say...but I will leave you with these thoughts for now!
Enjoy!
