About Me

My name is Savannah!
I am newly married and enjoying life more everyday. I love my husband more than anything and he is definitely the man of my dreams. I am one of 6 (almost 7) kids. I have 2 biological sisters, two Chinese sisters, 1 Chinese brother and my family is about to travel back to China to bring home one more child. Adoption is a huge part of my life, and I will probably talk about it a lot. Here is a little collage of my sweet family.
Now my love story...
We met when I was in high school, however he was older and off limits to me (leader in our youth group and was 23). I had a huge crush on him, and he definitely knew it. When I graduated high school and ventured off to college he was not forgotten by any means. I eventually got him to give me a chance, and let me tell you, God worked big time in both our lives to make it happen. He is 7 years older than me, so it was not the common thing to be dating someone with a real career when you were just going to college. We prayed and prayed about our relationship, and God worked in our lives, our families lives, and our friends lives. We were patient, and we waited on the Lord. We learned that the normal thing doesn't always mean it's the right thing. We also learned that God can do whatever He wants to do. Three summers later he proposed, and it was the best night of my life...so I thought ;) We got married on May 7, 2011. It was the wedding I had always dreamed of, and the honeymoon was even better! We traveled to Maui, Hawaii for 8 days of heavenly relaxation. Y'all, if you get the chance, GO TO HAWAII! It's our favorite place and we will be going back as much as we can.

We are now learning how to be married and learning about life in general. I look forward to sharing my heart with all of you and sharing some life experiences along the way. I am not the perfect Christian. I have my struggles, but my relationship with Christ has recently been changed forever. I can't wait to share what He has done in my life through this blog.

Hi Savannah! I just started following your blog and I love it! I just had to leave a comment because my mouth dropped open after reading your about me. My boyfriend and I are 7 years apart and met when he was a leader for my youth group as well! We also started dating once I went off to college. I just thought that was so ironic! You and your husband look like you have a beautiful marriage and love Christ.
Love, Lindsay
