BC at the beach!

We decided before Ben Curtis was born that we wanted to go to the beach for our anniversary. We knew we should wait and see how Ben Curtis was doing before planning our trip. When we knew how laid back Ben Curtis was we booked our trip. We went to Sandestin for the week and had the best time. We brought a tent with us that was made for the beach and it was awesome to have. He slept so well during the day and would be so sweet at night too. We hung out on the beach during the day and got cleaned up each night to go out to eat. It was so wonderful to spend time together as a family of three all week.

He didn't like the ocean, but he loved the pool! I think it was because the pool was heated. We just dipped his feet in the edge of the ocean.

On our anniversary we went to Tommy Bahama and it was delicious! After eating we headed over to Baytowne Wharf and walked around. We walked out on a pier and there was the most beautiful sunset. Josh was about to take a picture of me and BC and the nicest man walked up and asked if we wanted our picture taken. It turns out he was a photographer and we got some great shots on our camera! It was the best anniversary gift I could have been given!

2 Years~

Today is our 2 year anniversary! I can't believe how fast time goes. It seems like yesterday I was waking up to my wedding day. I am so thankful that I have those sweet memories from that perfect day. Our wedding was beyond perfect, and it was one of the happiest days of my life. For a little recap, go here!

Being married has taught me so much...

I have learned that you have to have good communication. I have learned that I am not always right. I have learned how to compromise. I have learned that you have to be intentional. I have learned that things don't always go as planned. I have learned the importance of working hard. I have learned the importance of being on a budget. I have learned how to work together. I have learned how to be a good listener. I have learned how to be a good supporter. I have learned how to laugh it off. I am learning the meaning of 1 Corinthians 13. I have learned that God loves me and has blessed me with the perfect husband for me. 

God is so good and we are so blessed~

Happy anniversary sweet husband! I love you so much. I can't wait to really celebrate in Maui in 18 days!!!

1 Year!

Well, I can't believe it's been an entire year since our wedding! Time has flown by and we have made so many wonderful memories. Being married is such a blessing, and I'm so thankful to be married to my best friend!

August- Celebrated dad's 50th birthday

September- Went to our first Tennessee game of the season

 

October- Watched some more football

November- Went to another Tennessee game with family

AND Celebrated our first Thanksgiving together

AND we met Will Perry!

December- We went to NYC before Christmas

AND celebrated our first married Christmas

January- Went to Hartwell for a weekend

 February- Celebrated our first married Valentine's Day

March- Spent time outside

April- Moved into our house

And here we are in May!

Today I'm loving the number 7!

This number is so special to Josh and I for many reasons...

-We are 7 years apart

-We were married on May 7th

-TODAY is 7th...which means we have been married for 9 months!

-Not really anything special but my favorite show is 7th Heaven :)

I can't believe we have been married for 9 months. Time flies, friends! Enjoy every second of it because we will never get these days back. I'm excited for May 7, 2012 because we will be celebrating in the amazing Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! I can't wait :)

Wondering what I mean by Fabulous FIVE?

Well...I have been married to my sweet husband for FIVE months today. Those who have been married for years and years probably laugh that I am highlighting this day in our life. However, as newlyweds we love celebrating our "monthly anniversary". At the beginning, we said we were going to go out for every month, but that's changed to pretty much saying, "Happy _ anniversary!" Not that we don't go out, but life can sometimes get in that way. BUT, Josh is such a wonderful husband, and he takes me on dates all the time. :)

FIVE things I have loved so far about being married...

1. Always having someone to come home to, eat dinner with (cook meals for), and snuggle beside when it's time to go to bed. I guess all of those things equal having someone by my side everyday.

2. Laughing all the time. Josh has always made me laugh, but since we have been married we have formed so many inside jokes. Let me tell you, we think we are funny. It's fun. I laugh until I cry all the time.

3. I love having someone to lead me. Life brings so many changes, and it is wonderful to have Josh by my side to lead us and find what it is that God wants for us. God has already done so much in our life, and I'm thankful to have a husband that wants nothing more than to live the life God has designed us to live.

4. Creating hobbies and finding new things we love has been so much fun. We found that we love walking together in the evenings. There is nothing more relaxing than going to the park and spending time together without phones or any other distractions. I love that time together.

5. I have someone to grow with, pray with, and share life experiences with. Family is similar in that way, but there is nothing like a husband, especially a Godly, Christ-filled, husband. So, I love that with marriage, you are given a life partner and given someone to share every experience, whether good or bad.
