On Friday we woke up and went to a Ess-A Bagel for breakfast. It was rated one of the top places for bagels in NYC, and we loved it! I would recommend going there on your next visit.
After breakfast we headed to Top of the Rock! I was excited about this because so many people have told me how amazing the views are. We chose to go to this instead of the Empire State Building because you can see the ESB when you're up there. You can also see an amazing view of central park!
It was very windy so we stayed up for a few minutes but then decided to head to the next thing!
Afterwards, we had lunch and did some more shopping. We were both a little under the weather throughout our trip so we took a nap that afternoon. We had dinner and explored more of Time Square that night!
Saturday we were ready to go after a pretty chill day on Friday. It was our last full day in NYC and we knew we still had a lot to see! We started the day at another really good bagel place, Time Square Bagels. We got a coffee and our bagels and ate in Times Square while people watching.
After that we headed to see Ground Zero, which they are now calling the One World Trade Center. It is a really neat building, and it was very surreal to stand there where the Twin Towers once stood.
We visited a couple different churches and this was one of them.
I thought this church was beautiful~
After taking that amazing site in, we headed toward 5th Avenue to do some "shopping". We did way more looking than shopping. However, I did receive a surprise Christmas present from Josh!
I had mentioned the watch to Josh but I didn't think I would be getting it. We went into Macy's and when we got up to the counter he told the lady we were here to pick out a watch for me! I was so excited and have worn it everyday since.
Here are some pictures from 5th Avenue! All of the stores were decorated beautifully!

Loved the ceiling decor~

That night we had dinner at Shake Shack. This was close to our hotel and was really good! We shared a vanilla donut milkshake for dessert...YUM!
Next we headed to Rockefeller Center to see the famous Christmas tree and skating rink! This was defintely the most crowded place but everything was really beautiful.
We ran into the Cookie Monster~
We ended the night by going to McGees Pub & Restaurant, the How I Met Your Mother pub. That is one of our favorite shows, so it was cool to be at the place the show is based on.
On Sunday, it was time to head home! We had the best time but we were glad to be going home! I'm so happy we were able to see all of the amazing Christmas lights and experience NYC at Christmas!
