Our Home ~ The Family Room

Our family room has also come a long way! 

We had new carpet installed which made the house smell brand new! This room used to be a yellowish brown color, and the fireplace was painted black. I knew it needed to brighten up in a big way, and what better way to do that than with a little paint?

We also had someone come and put the cords from the TV in the wall. That makes a huge difference too!

Our Home ~ The Kitchen

This is definitely one of my favorite places in our house...

The day we moved Josh's friends out, me and my sweet friend Kristin spent ALL day cleaning this lovely space. It was disgusting, y'all! The cabinets were a shade of beige from the grease and grime, and now they are white! I don't know what I would do without a Magic Eraser! What a difference. We also were able to have the walls painted, and we got a couple new light fixtures. All of those little things made a huge difference! 

My theme is black and white with accents of green. The sign over my stove is one of my fav things...I bought it a couple years ago with this exact spot in mind!

Our Home ~ Outside

The time was finally upon us...it was time to move into out house! 

After a year of living in a tiny apartment, we were ready for an upgrade! We have so much room compared to what we are used to, and we are loving every square foot. Josh and I are very similar in the fact that we like to get things done and not put things on the back burner. Well, that means that we moved in on Friday and we were settled by Saturday night. We still have some things to hang on the walls, but other than that we are completely moved in! We were tired when it was all said and done, but it was SO worth it!
