Wedding Season

I never blogged about all of the other weddings we went to this summer...
So this is a collaboration of them all!
My best friend, Caitlin, got married two weeks after we did. She and I met our freshman year of college, and we were roommates our sophomore year. She is one of the best friends I've ever had. I'm so thankful we were able to share our specials days with one another.
You can find her blog HERE!
Here are some pictures from her beautiful day {5.21.11}...
She was beautiful~
Love this~

 The next two weddings were on the same day {5.28.11}...
We first went to my other college roommate, Kristen's wedding.
She was a beautiful bride, and it was a very sweet ceremony. They had never kissed before, so that was a very emotional and sweet moment.
She was so beautiful~
Next we were off to my friend, Gabby's wedding. She and I were sorority sisters in college, and she was also a gorgeous bride! I loved her colors and all her decorations...so fun!
Find her blog HERE!

The last wedding of the summer was one to remember! My best friend from growing up, Samantha, married her long time love of about 7 years. I introduced Sam and Brantley when we were in high school. They began dating not long after, and the rest is history! Sam is truly one of the sweetest friends I've ever had. She has been there for me since we were little, and I was so thankful to be her Maid of Honor!
Her day was amazing {6.8.11}...
Her rehearsal dinner~
Gorgeous~
They are such a sweet couple~
 Loved our dresses~

As you can see, wedding season has been busy for us! We have more to come, but those aren't for a while! I love weddings, especially now! It is so cool to understand how excited the bride is, and it is also so sweet to be reminded of the vows we took on our day...
Love you all!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you have had a wonderful Thursday so far! There are so many things to be thankful for on this beautiful Thursday...

-Family that is always here for Josh and I. His family lives within 5 miles of us, and we love seeing them throughout our weeks. I tutor our nephew twice a week, and it has been a blessing to spend that time with him. It is always amazing to see a little mind learn and start to understand things that you find so simple. He will be going in Kindergarten in a couple weeks, so I have had the privilege of preparing him! Although my family lives and hour away, we still see them often (this coming weekend-woohoo) and I talk to my mom everyday. She is always so encouraging, and she always gives wonderful advice and just talks to me about everyday life. I'm so thankful for them all!

-Friends that I have all around me. I live with my very best friend (aren't I so lucky?). Josh is the best friend I have ever had. He gets me like no one else, and he is the one person that knows 100% everything about me. He loves me for who I am, and he loves me no matter what. I also have wonderful friends that I am able to talk to on a daily basis. I see my friend Caitlin often. We both got married in May, so we love having each other to talk about marriage, cooking, being a wife, etc. We encourage each other, and I love having that bond with her. My new friend, Nicole, is one of the sweetest friends I've ever had. Even though we have never "met" in real life (blog friend), we talk almost everyday and she is someone that will stop and pray for me at any moment. I'm so thankful to have her in my life! Friends are such a precious thing.

-Our jobs are definitely something to be thankful for. Josh and I have been blessed to both have jobs we enjoy (for the most part). Not only do they provide for our needs, but we are at a place where we can do fun things together and go fun places. I'm so thankful for that.

-My Savior who has put my right where I need to be. I am thankful to have the reassurance from him that I know Josh and I are in His will and we are seeking Him together. We are seeking for a church home, and we are seeking for a community to serve in. We are blessed to be where we are, and it is all because of Jesus.

I hope you all take time to reflect on what you should be thankful for today...there are so many things!

I'm headed to clean and get ready for our company this weekend! I can't wait to tell you all about it. Happy Thursday friends!

My Birthday

Beware.....LONG post!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My birthday was SO wonderful!
My birthday is July 4th, so we always have lots to celebrate on that holiday!
The weekend celebration began with a fun day on Saturday filled with some of our
closest friends. We enjoyed hanging out by the pool all day, ate
hamburgers hotdogs and homemade ice cream (my fav!), and ended the day
with an evening out on the boat! It was so great to spend sweet time
with sweet friends!
Sunday we went to church, hung out with my family, went out on the lake again, and then my mom and I cooked spaghetti for dinner. My dad runs in the Peachtree Roadrace
every year, and we always eat pasta the night before!
Monday was my actual birthday! We woke up and waited for my dad to get
home from the big race. He did an awesome job! We grilled out for
lunch and made more homemade ice cream!
Josh and I decided not to stay
for fireworks because it was raining and we wouldn't have gotten home
until late. So he and I headed back home to finish celebrating. I
hopped in the shower when we got home to get ready for my birthday
date! When I came out of the bathroom there were beautiful red roses
on our kitchen counter! He had gone to the store and gotten them for
me while I was getting ready! Sweetest husband ever...
We headed to Panera because that's what I wanted to eat. However, they
were already closed, so we ate at Panda Express. It was fun to just be
together, so I didn't really care where we ate.
After dinner we headed
to the movies to see a movie I have been wanting to see, Midnight in
Paris. It has Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams in it, but it is an independent film so it is kind of strange. But....it was really good! It also made us want to travel to Paris....
My birthday weekend was wonderful! It was truly my favorite one ever because I spent it as a married women~ married to the man of my dreams!
On Tuesday, we were able to go with Josh's whole fam to Outback to celebrate! It was so much fun to all be together, and it was very delicious!
One more thing...
I love what my family gave me! I have been needing a place for all of my jewelry for a while, and they got my the perfect thing...
 A beautiful jewelry box with my initials on it! I love it so much, and it is absolutely perfect!!!
Like I said...it was the best birthday ever!
